After 21 issues on Mailchimp - my wee newsletter is moving home (slowly)

I've been producing a local newsletter since May 2024 to try and get information from the bureaucratic hole that is Glasgow City Council out to people in Greater Govan so they can be included in what the council is doing, how they can shape it and change it. As well as boosting community organisations and their events.

I’ve been running this off Mailchimp for nearly a year and after a few issues I realised that the platform wasn’t particularly good for the purposes I was looking for. If you’re trying to sell something online - it’s perfect, but I’m not! So over the next month or so I’ll be posting on both until we finally settle here on Substack.

If you’re new - I’ll be posting every week or two, just depending on what is worth sharing, I focus mostly on Greater Govan, that being (under electoral definition) roughly anything south of the Clyde but north of the M8, East of Braehead and West of Bridge Street. And the content I write tends to be mostly about Govan, sharing consultations, events, upcoming infrastructure improvements, and all things like that. Also big things that are happening city-wide that people should know about.

I’m currently drafting next issue which should be arriving next week sometime!
